I think that Suzuki, seems to have this model LS Savage, targeted to the short woman customer. They must think, that if the seat is thin and dipped low in the front, (remember that women are built different in the front) women will say this one fits me! She probably will not ride any farther than 50 miles at a time and not feel the discomfort that us male 'distance riders' feel.
The new Savage (after 2000) does have a thicker padded seat, but I have not ridden one so as to make any comment about the comfort.
